BLUESHAPE (New Cell Top, srl) and Lightscape Lighting & Equipment are pleased to announce they have entered into a strategic partnership, combining BLUESHAPE’s high-quality film and broadcast power products with Lightscape’s industry-leading product training, rental and distribution services. Lightscape will assume the duties of marketing and distribution of BLUESHAPE products throughout North America.

Originally founded 1996, New Cell Top entered the broadcast and film markets in 2005 with its introduction of the BLUESHAPE brand. The company introduced the industry’s first-drop resistant batteries in 2013 and the first batteries to include Wi-Fi status and health monitoring in 2016. The company is located in Reggio Emilia, Italy, with its products manufactured at its fully solar-powered facility in Malta.

Established in 2013, Lightscape Lighting & Equipment provides rentals, sales, training and equipment management services for our partners and customers in the film & television and entertainment industries. Lightscape believes that the best products are the ones that are easiest to use and has created extensive education and training programs to support this vision. The Lightscape mission enables manufacturers, owner operators, major vendors, studios, and production companies to create a more transparent, knowledgeable, sustainable, and equitable business exchange. With the live events and production industries increasingly relying on remote power. Lightscape, with its vast rental network, multiple locations and strong emphasis on training, is positioned to recommend and provide the appropriate products.

Pietro Vignali, CEO of BLUESHAPE, stated “We welcome the relationship with Lightscape. The BLUESHAPE difference goes much further than a catalog listing can show; the quality and performance is best understood when the products are used and evaluated in a working environment. Through its training, demo and rental network, Lightscape provides avenues to
place BLUESHAPE products in the hands of the professionals throughout the industry. With the addition of multiple distribution locations, BLUESHAPE’s products will always be close at hand.

“We all want to be more environmentally responsible, and when it comes to batteries there is only one solar powered factory making batery packs today – BLUESHAPE. In our market, batteries that consistently perform 5+ years in the field will redefine the word “rugged” and deliver the kind of utilization that translates to customer satisfaction.” – Blace Brink

Lightscape will also assume the distribution duties for BLUESHAPE products to dealers, resellers and rental houses throughout North America. Distribution locations in Atlanta, Los Angeles and Las Vegas will decrease the BLUESHAPE product delivery time.

Lightscape staff will be joining BLUESHAPE at the Cine Gear Expo in Atlanta October 6-7, 2023, in Booth S1101 which is inside Stage 21 at Trilith Studios. They will join in presenting the new BLUESHAPE B-mount 28V battery with dimmable LEDs visible from 270 degrees.
