Flanders Scientific is pleased to announce the XMP270C, a new compact 26.5-inch UHD QD-OLED reference monitor designed to deliver the same industry-leading image fidelity and color accuracy of the popular XMP270 in a smaller, lighter, and more installation-friendly form factor. The XMP270C is purpose-built for broadcast control rooms, OB trucks, fly packs, mobile production systems, and compact post-production environments where space efficiency is critical but reference-grade performance cannot be compromised. Utilizing the same 26.5-inch UHD QD-OLED panel found in the XMP270, the XMP270C maintains the exceptional HDR and SDR performance professionals expect from FSI’s XMP Series while reducing size, weight, and overall system complexity. The XMP270C features a 3840×2160 10-bit QD-OLED panel capable of 1000 nits peak luminance with an approximately 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio and extremely wide viewing angles. The display’s per-pixel emissive architecture enables true black reproduction, exceptional shadow detail, and highly accurate HDR representation without the blooming artifacts associated with traditional local dimming LCD technologies.

“The XMP270C was developed to address the growing need for high-end reference
monitoring in increasingly compact and mobile workflows. Customers loved the image
quality and performance of the XMP270, but many wanted a version optimized specifically
for tighter installations and streamlined environments.”

To achieve its compact design, the XMP270C replaces the front-facing keypad controls of the XMP270 with a simplified rear-mounted 5-way controller, removes integrated speakers, and eliminates processed monitor outputs while retaining clean loop-through functionality. These changes significantly reduce
chassis size and weight while preserving the monitor’s core reference monitoring capabilities. The XMP270C also incorporates FSI’s evolving suite of workflow-focused tools and calibration technologies, including GaiaColor AutoCal for direct volumetric calibration using supported probes, support for advanced LUT workflows, and independent per-input color management configurations. Quad View functionality with support for multiple simultaneous inputs and independent LUT application further enhances the monitor’s utility in multicamera and live production environments. Like other XMP Series monitors, the XMP270C utilizes a fanless aluminum chassis and graphite heat sink design for quiet operation and efficient thermal management, making it ideal for acoustically sensitive environments.
