As a registered guest to Cine Gear Expo you agree to the following policies.

Age Restrictions

No one under the age of 16 is permitted at the expo’s exhibits, seminars and special events.

Badge Registration

All attendees must register for Cine Gear Expo to attend any exhibit, seminar, special event or screening.

Cine Gear Expo’s registration collection and storage of information is confidential. If registrant Opts-In during the registration process, Cine Gear Expo may share contact information with Exhibitors and Sponsors. By permitting badge to be scanned, data provided during the registration process will be released.

Badges will NOT be mailed. Badges may be picked up on site one hour before show opening and during show hours with a valid government issued Photo ID.

Changes to your Registration information can be made onsite during show hours or before September 17 by calling 310-472-0809, Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. PT. Corrections to your badge are free of charge.

Cell Phones

Cell phone etiquette is expected at all seminars and special events. Please turn your cell phone to vibrate when attending.

Photography Disclaimer

Cine Gear Expo or its contractors may record, photograph and/or stream various features and activities of the event for both archival and marketing purposes. By attending Cine Gear Expo, attendee gives Cine Gear Expo and its contractor’s permission to use attendee’s voice and image in any such archival or promotional recording, photograph or streaming activity.

Photography, Recording and Streaming

Attendees are permitted to bring camera equipment (audio and video) onto the show floor for personal and private use only and photos and/or recording are the exclusive property of Show Management.

Exhibitors retain the right to restrict photography of their products or displays and such decisions are within the discretion of the exhibitor and are not controlled by Cine Gear Expo.

Photos and/or recordings cannot be copied, altered, sold, exhibited or further distributed without Show Management’s prior written consent. No disturbances due to photography and/or recording shall be allowed and violators will be removed from the show floor.

Photography and/or recording is prohibited at all seminars and events. Streaming at Cine Gear Expo is prohibited except for those under contract with Cine Gear Expo Management.


To receive a refund, a cancellation request must be made in writing and emailed to the Cine Gear Office no later than August 27. Email refund requests to in**@ci**********.com No refunds or cancellations will be considered after the deadline of September 3. Cancellations are subject to administrative fees and show management approval. Refunds are not allowed for failure to attend, early arrival or late departure. Cine Gear reserves the right to change agendas and assumes no obligation for personal expenditures.


Your safety at the show is important to us. Cine Gear show management employs strict security measures, while balancing safety concerns with traffic flow challenges. Attendees should allow themselves extra time to arrive at meetings and events as it may take a little while to pass through parking, security, registration and the show floor. Below are a few security measures to expect:

  • A government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or passport) is required to obtain your badge. All bags will be subject to search upon entry into Cine Gear Expo.
  • This includes personal items such as purses, laptop cases and baggage.
  • There will be an increased presence of security officers during show days.
  • Surveillance cameras are activated throughout the venue.
  • Only authorized vehicles and passengers will be granted access at the front gate. No standing or unloading will be permitted at any time.


Only authorized expo and show management signs are permitted. All other signs, posters, or other product will be discarded. Distribution of fliers, brochures or other materials at Cine Gear Expo is strictly prohibited. Violators will lose attendance privileges.

Gabriel Mays

AbelCine Director of Rental
As Director of Rental, Gabriel Mays oversees growth of Rental by nurturing business relationships and unifying the customer experience nationwide. In his previous role as the LA Rental Manager, Gabriel worked with producers, cinematographers, and assistant camera operators to provide the highest level of customer service possible. He also ensured that all their equipment needs are met on budget. Before coming to AbelCine in 2015, Gabriel previously worked as a Communications Instructor and Electronic Media Engineer at a private university. He taught various courses in electronic media, including film, broadcasting, and digital arts. Gabriel is an award-winning cinematographer, director, producer, and editor known for his innovative research and implementation of new film techniques. He was also one of the first to implement HDSLR cameras into filmmaking. He has been the cinematographer on dozens of independent films, documentaries, and music videos.
